A Letter To A (Sort Of) Angel

“It happens like this.

“One day you meet someone and for some inexplicable reason, you feel more connected to this stranger than anyone else–closer to them than your closest family. Perhaps this person carries within them an angel–one sent to you for some higher purpose; to teach you an important lesson or to keep you safe during a perilous time. What you must do is trust in them–even if they come hand in hand with pain or suffering–the reason for their presence will become clear in due time.”

Though here is a word of warning–you may grow to love this person but remember they are not yours to keep. Their purpose isn’t to save you but to show you how to save yourself. And once this is fulfilled; the halo lifts and the angel leaves their body as the person exits your life. They will be a stranger to you once more.

Hello.

Has anyone told you today that you’re wonderful?

If not, then let me start this off by saying that You. Are. Wonderful.

Wonderful in the way that you light up a room with your presence, how you easily make people feel at ease, how you can make them laugh, or how you so compassionately help others. Wonderful in the way that you don’t even seem to realize it.

Though time has been short for us, I am still thankful that I met you. Truly Thankful. Without you even knowing, you helped me to believe that I am capable of more and I hope that you do the same to you, believe in yourself, too.

Wherever you are right now, I hope that you’re happy.. that you’re finally getting there. I hope that you already got the recognition that you’ve always wanted. I hope that you’re smiling that contagious smile of yours and that you’re done with comparing yourself to anyone.

And when you look at the stars tonight, just like you always do, I hope that you see not only the past but as well as the future full of hope and happiness.

“I used to believe in one true soul mate, but not anymore.
I believe you can have a few.”
– Paul Walker

Liking the idea that you can meet a few rather than one Soulmate.. or maybe..
we can call them angels instead?
